The Jordanian King: We reject any attempt to separate the West Bank and the Gaza Strip

The Jordanian King, King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, said that the international community must strengthen support for UNRWA, as its weakening or cessation will exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, and will have dire consequences for the West Bank, according to what news sources reported in breaking news.
He added: “We will continue to work with the Palestinian National Authority to preserve the existing historical and legal status in the holy places in Jerusalem.”
He continued: “We will continue to protect and care for the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem based on the Hashemite custodianship.”
He continued: “Intensifying the efforts of international and humanitarian organizations to work with UNRWA to ensure the provision of aid in Gaza and in all areas of its operations.”
He continued: “We reject any attempt to separate the West Bank and Gaza Strip, as they are an extension of the one Palestinian state.”
He pointed out that the entire world must take action to stop the war, protect civilians and hospitals, oblige Israel to lift the siege and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of aid, stressing that the Palestinian issue is the central issue for Jordan and we will continue to fully stand by the brotherly Palestinian people.
He added: “We reject any scenario or idea of reoccupying parts of Gaza or establishing buffer zones there, and depriving the people of Gaza of water, food, medicine, and electricity is a war crime that cannot be tolerated.”
